Occupy Movement B.S. Story of the Day
First of all, let us peruse some of the various comments about this incident made by the 'independent' media:
"US Wall Street police are lawless and against Human right to protest"
Minibonds Octave Constellation
"The Police are drunk on power and violence"
Democratic Underground (Chat)
"Unprovoked, an officer struck the woman in the face knocking her back onto the ground."
Now, let us take a look at the video ourselves...
What did you see? What I saw was one man trying to jump the barricades (violation of city code). A confrontation ensues and little miss 'I have a restraining order' gets in the way. Seriously. A gaggle of cops is getting physical with a guy waving a bamboo flag pole and she decides to get in the middle? Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid, STUPID!
Did you ever SEE a punch thrown? I didn't. What I saw was a total cluster with this lady trying to get right in the middle of the struggle that the cops were having with the man trying to plant his flag.
Then she sat down for her photo-op before getting up and continuing her stammering.
Besides not seeing a punch thrown/landed... did you hear her constant yammering? I did. Did it EVER stop? No. Now don't you think that if a cop slugged her during the fray she might have just suddenly shut the fuck up for a second? I do.
Sure, she probably caught an accidental nudge from an elbow or shoulder. What do I say to that? TOUGH SHIT! OWS people want the banks held responsible, they want the police held responsible, they want everyone held responsible. Soooo... here's a novel idea, how about this lady be held responsible for her own actions being sticking her face into the middle of a barricade top scrum?
Unfortunately for this nameless lady, 84-year-old Dorli Rainey took a faceful of pepper spray less than 24 hours prior to this event, so her little prat fall may not stay on the search engines too long.
Bottom line is that once again, the Occupy Movement has gained a martyr. With all of the cameras recording supposedly peaceful demonstrators initiating contacts with the police, it seems like this has become the primary goal of this movement.
